actually bump is kind of a universal term used in most forums, not saying your idea isn't good though.

Yep this is true. I am currently a member on 8 different forums all of which use bump.

That gives you a rough estimate of how much time I spend on my computer. lol. This is my favorite forum though.

I've been on forums since I was 14 years old, and I always thought "bump" was just common sense. It means they are "bumping" your post back to the top so someone else can see it.

Who knows, maybe I just have alot of common sense :D :D Bump is used on almost every forum on the net.

Now you all have truly seen "bump" on a reply.
But I will not post a serious response, nor read through the thread, due to Linda's recently short and rude reply's to threads.

I was the one who accused you of being short and rude cuttingras and believe me I felt it with the negative karma i received haha. I think that it is probably very common, or what could be called common sense to regular forum users. To myself, however, I have never even used a forum until now. I had received one other reply on a different thread from you just stating "get a bigger tank"

Now I am new to this hobby and am liking it very much. I may not know as much as everyone but I'm also not dumb lol. But from my perspective I got a lot of help from many people with my lame questions and yours was the first to be very short and non-elaborative so to speak. But I didn't take offence until the bump remark because I simply thought it was just another short answer given in aquarium lingo that I am not accustomed to as of yet lol. Sooooo the wrap this up, I do realize now that you were just trying to be helpful and you seem pretty liked on this forum so I can see it was with good intentions and I gave an honest apology for my misunderstanding.

But as this thread shows some people see it as common sense, some people don't. I think this thread will help greatly for future newcomers to not get caught in the same issue I had. So I thank you for that, and for clearing up the issue with me, no hard feelings I hope!!
