segmented see thru tenticals?

    hi all, i have a thing in my live rock that puts out clear but purple colored long tenticals and they feel all over the rock till it finds food looks like brittle star segmentations but much longer and no taper to them, sorry i cant post pics, any ideas for me to try to look up?

    does it look like and anenome? if it does, could be aiptasia.

    no the tenticals are like 6" long and much like spaghetti worms but none ive seen look the same?

    Definitely sounds like a peanut worm to me, is it sensitive to light? You can check by shining a torch at it and a peanut worm will usually receed back to its hole. A photo would clear up any doubts.

    no not peanut worm the tenticals are only about as thick as the letters you see on the letter l on this post and many tenticals from one animal? i wish i could post pics but i can not figure out how?

    If there are many tentacles, like a medusa's head, it sounds like a spaghetti worm. I hear they're from Italy, originally.

    Yeah, the southern part of Sicily, if I'm not mistaken (haha). I'm Italian, no wonder I had spaghetti worms in my tank!!
