So can the seio controller be used on Korallia pumps, or the new Seio prop pumps? I assume yes, since the seio controller can be used on maxijet modded MJ's.

the controllable koralias have a different kind of socket. Can only be used on koralia controllers. Now if you wired a plain ol plugs on them I'm sure you could.

yeah, I know that the controllable K's have different sockets, but I am looking to use std Korallias on a seio controller. The seio controller has std electrical sockets. The controllable K's are apparently NOT DC, so both the controllable and non controllable korallias are really the same minus the different socket.

I should try a couple Korallias on my friends Seio controller that he has running his MJ modded prop pumps.

I did not realize the seio controller was nearly 200 dollars though. Basically I am trying to get enough flow for my 193 g I am building on the least amount of money with controllable outputs. Maybe I should simply get a polario and spend the $350 on the big bow one that is adjustable.

The hydor korallia controller is 300 for the 2 way one with no pumps. with 2 K3s it would be around 400 dollars for only around 1900 gph.

The seio controller with 2 seio prop pumps in the 1500gph size would be about 280 dollars. That will make 3000 gph, and add in my K3 and return and possibly a k1, I would have more than enough flow.

I kinda like ur 3rd option. I really do like the koralia pumps but to be honest, the oldest powerhead in my house is a seio 1500 and it hasn't given me a bit of trouble ever. I think that's the only one that I haven't ever replaced. The only downside to it is its size. It's kinda bulky but I think it works great for what I'm using it for. If I were going to go through all of that, I would just get a tunze wavebox and call it good.

Have yyou seen the seio prop pumps?

I have a single 320 9320gph) on my 90g and it seems to work quite well.

I guess I need to see on rio's site to see if they recommend the seio controller on the seio prop pumps. I know the old superflow seios are meant for the controller, but those are bulky as you mentioned, and use a lot more energy than the prop versions that just came out.
