I grabbed my bottle of selcon to add to some food and first thing I noticed was the squeeze bulb on the dropper was sucked into a vacuum, shook the bottle and noticed it went from the normal milky white to pee yellow.Did it go bad?I'm assuming so,does it need to be refrigerated? The bottle is 6 months old or so,but first time i've ever seen this.My last bottle was over a year old, finished it off,it never did this setting on my shelf?Nowhere on the directions does it say to refrigerate, unless it's in the microprint which these ole' eyes can't read anyway.

I forget off the top of my head what is in Selcon, but sounds like oxidation. It probably has gone bad. I do always refrigerate, most vitamins and organic molecules will break down and heat does catalyze this process.

Most vitamins and supplements won't last more than a few months (if that) without refrigeration. probably not toxic or anything, but probably not very nutritious either...

I've always refrigerated Selcon and the stores I buy it from always have it in the fridge.

Selcon and Selco both are fatty acid emulsions and even kept refrigerated don't last too long before they go rancid.
I much prefer to use Algmac 3050 which is powder form and can be stored in the freezer for long term storage.
