Any one ever use Selcon? Does it do any good to soak frozen brine shrimp in it? My new Copperband Butterfly so far only wants to eat frozen brine shrimp fortified with spirulina. He was eating frozen mysis at the store but doesnt want to eat it in his new home. ( Damn fish can be so fickle sometimes) I know he can't survive long term on B.Shrimp so I want to boost its nutritional value with Selcon till he takes other foods.

yes soaking brine in selcon will help. You can also trry getting a fresh oyster and putting it in the tank. Most copperbands will go for that. Although a copperband that does not eat may be showing signs of cyanide poisoning. Most copperbands from the indo pacific are cyanide caught. the best ones to get are austrailian net caught. There pretty exspensive though.

This copperband was an exchange. The guy that owned it had it for a long time in his reef tank until it decided to start eating his corals. It had been eating the usual frozen foods and was eating in my LFS. The fish is fat and aggressive. He's eating very aggressively in my quarentine tank but now only wants to eat brine shrimp. Thanks for the info on selcon!
