Selecting fish

No tangs for u....if you put a tang in there you will have bad salt water karma...and no one wants bad tank karma...cuz that gets expensive...lol

 

Angels are indeed with caution in reef tanks. Me personally I have been lucky. I have a CB and a flame (seperate tanks), and never had a problem.

I would say when you get some time sit down and browse thru live aquaria. They have a pretty good selection and alot of pictures I am sure you can find something she might give into.

 

Sure let the girlfriend make suggestions, but unless she does the research and some of the maintenance on the tank her suggestions on what she thinks is colorful and smooth looking should have very little impact into your stocking choices. Trust me on this, let someone that knows very little about SW fish make fish choices and your asking for a big hot mess. No SW fish/invert surprises either.

 

have her look at a Helfrichi Firefish...they are smooth, and the colors are often LOVED by women..pink, purple, and yellow...

 

Yea there will be no surprises, I do all the research and maintenance . She cleans the outside glass and feeds pellets. The clowns as odd as it sounds come to her and eat but when I feed them they just watch the food drop on the ground I think of them as being kids taunting me going you just cleaned that floor didnt you!! lol

Did look at liveaquria and aquaticconnection for ideas to which she only likes angels and tangs lol. I was hoping to have 2 drawf angels but have realized that it would be a bad idea so hopefully she likes some gobies in person I really want a YWG or tiger goby

 

Maybe the tangs could justify a BIG upgrade?

 

I told her today that if she wants tangs and big angels we would need a big upgrade to at least a 180gallon or larger. She said thats what she wants so maybe when we get a house in the future right now we rent a house would be hard to move a 100+gallon tank lol

 

That is awesome! You have to keep the better half happy, and sometimes that can be used to our benefit lol. ;D
