Self sustaining tank?

    Just wondering if something like this would even be possible. I figure it would either need to be massive (like the ocean) or tiny

    I would imagine a tank with a HUGE fuge would do just that. I'm setting up a mangrove sanctuary that will hopefully be self-sustained.

    Any fish in it? Also you should do open top do they can shoot out it looks awesome

    I know of a few 300-400 g sps tanks that people gave up on for a few years, no dosing/water changes up in Canada that did ok

    i think either a university or aquarium has done this, the tank was very large, but they more or less got it running right and then just left it

    Also I had a 46g I never did anything to in 10 years. It help LPS in it for the last 6 months it was up and they were fine. I had 2 small fish in it i didnt feed though.

    I never did anything to my 29g except topoffs, not even testing and it was beautiful. On the 5g I don't do much either except topoffs and occasional buffer :dunno
