    Hey All,

I'm hoping someone on here has sold a used car in the past and can give me some advice.

First of all, I need to buy replacement floor mats for the car, does anyone know a good/reputable website where I can buy those? Also, one with good prices. ;)

Secondly, how did you sell your car? Did you sell it privately, to a used car lot, dealership, etc.? I'm wondering about these nation-wide car buying companies that say they come to your house and tow the car away, etc. That way seems like it would be a lot easier for me and a lot less of a hassle, but I don't know if they are trustworthy. If anyone has used one, please let me know about your experience and the company you used.

    Any tips are greatly appreciated!

    Thank you!!! :)

Are you planning on selling it just for money, or looking to upgrade to a newer car?

All the cars Ive had, I've traded back in for 3-10grand depending on what it was for my newer cars. Parents sold their truck though the local newspaper and It only cost a few dollars to put in the add. I knew a few friends who just put a forsale sign in it and drive it around and stuff people notice it then... Couple other friends have sold theirs on carsoup.com

Well, I bought two new cars this year, but didn't trade in my current car, so now I'm looking to sell it. I don't need 3 cars! I didn't trade it in because I figured I could get a lot more for it if I sold it on my own.

I'll probably place ads and all that stuff...just seems easier if someone would come pick it up and pay me at the same time! lol

Thanks, I'll look into Wal Mart. I found some online but they were like $100-ish! I don't think so. Haha

More money selling it privately, a LOT more ;)
Floor mats are easier, any of the auto parts stores will have them, like Kragens, Pep Boys, wherever.

Oh, thanks! For some reason I thought auto parts stores wouldn't have floor mats. Silly me. I'll do that this weekend!

I was quoted $3500 for trade-in, and can sell it privately for almost $6000! Puhleaze!

I work at a Nissan dealer and this is not always true. Alot of times Dealers will give you alot more just to move the new unit, as they get kickbacks from the banks for using their financing...this helps cover the higher trade in.
