So I started setting. Up my new tank add all the water then added. The salt salinity is good so today I added some sand and its super cloudy yes before I did this I turned off the filter. But its been about 3 hrs and its still super cloudy am I just being I'm patient or what and it was live sand should I take a chance and run the filter I know I shouldn't

You can run the filter. It will take a few days to clear up totally. I recommend adding Dr tims one and only and adding ammonia to feed them. Faster cycle times. Find the Dr Tim category in 3reef to ask about it.

be patient, it can sometimes take a few days before it all settles, wait and see what it looks like tomorrow

    edit:

I can't understand what you're saying. Typo city. Sounds like you just need to wait, especially if you just dumped the sand into the water. It can take a while. The circulation with your pump running will slow it down too. It just needs time to settle.

    Spellcheck!

You cannot rush anything in this hobby. This is your first lesson. Read read read all you can. If you rush you'll be back to the start but with less money. Trust me on this as I did it myself.

How fine is the sand? Is it oolite, or larger? If it's that bad and the sand isn't too fine you could probably siphon the dust off.

I don't think I'm going to have any choice but to buy a siphon and siphon it off
