    you may have gotten too fine of sand grain...? just curious......no way should it just stir up with slight movement....after this much time. just trying to maybe save you some hassle in the future if your sand is sugar size then you won't be able to have much movement (power heads) without stirring up large amounts....

    The problem is it wasn't washed at all just dumped straight in.

    Well I siphoned off the reel fine dust then added 20 more lbs of Fiji pink its same brand as other stuff. But did not cloud at all hardly so now in about an hr I'm putting my new Grenada chromis. In

    Live sand shouldn't need washed and it was 1-2 mm and I'm not planning on alot of current I going to add about 5 to10lbs crushed coral maybe

    What? Your tank isn't cycled your fish will probably die.

    I have an "old" tank so haven't cycled a tank in years :)

    throw a raw shrimp in, let it rot, then add fish food till the cycle is done and stable, about 4-6 weeks, or you can add a product like microbacter 7, Instant Ocean something or Dr. tims one and only and a should be done in a week or so. Just add the shrimp first, wait a few days for it to start to decay, then add the product so the bacteria have food to eat.

    I personally used bio-spira from Instant Ocean. I had no cycle at all and still 0 nitrate, nitrite and ammonia. Your results might not be typical. I have been in this hobby for years. I wouldn't recommend someone just getting their feet wet, moving this fast.

    I've a 10 gal tank with gsp a hammer coral some shrooms 1true percula 1 twin spot goby 1 emerald crab 1 peppermint shrimp some snails and some hermits and its doing great so I wouldn't say I'm just getting my feet wet
