Okay Here is the deal in my aquarium. Several week's ago I lost all my 3 fish. They either died from Ick or Velvet, I now have Flatworm's.
I have heard both sides of the Ick and Velvet controversy. Some say the parasite dies out, some say it hides out until it has a week host to carry on it's life cycle through. True or not I do not know. A man here told me if I set for 12 week's the Velvet would die, I call no names as he is a good man and has helped everyone here at one time or another. If your answer to my problem is this fish and that shrimp, this is the wrong place. (no disrespect meant) I want to dose my tank with No Ick and Revive and flatworm exit all in one run. Is this possible? I will have on hand already mixed and aireated for the duration of the dosing 30 gallon's of water. I have a 55 gallon tank and will not do the full 30 at one change it will be 2 changes. One when the dosing is completed and the other after a week or probably 2. Okay I have onboard a SarcoPhyton Leather , and a couple of St Thomas Bubble Mushroom's and a Flame Scallop, a few feather dusters a ccoco worm and several Kenya Tree's. What if any of my livestock on board would be threatened? Should I do this one dosing per month or is all at one time acceptable? Thank you very much for your time and help. I hope no one takes any of this as my being rude, I just want to know from people that have done this or have a vast amount of knowledge in the field. thnx

    Hi Danny,
All of the products you have listed should be safe for your tank.
The only one would I would use a lot of caution with is the Faltworm Exit. Now, the product itself is safe for your tank. But, when flatworms die, they release toxins. If you have enough of them in there, this could cause a major problem.
Also, make sure to do each and individual treatment one at a time.

Okay Packleader that was my main question wether I could do them all at the same time, Case Closed I will do them one at a time over the next few month's and hold off on fish. There is a HUGE ABUNDANCE of flatworms. What kind of affect on any of my listed corals will it have and will it affect all of them or just certain ones?

As far as I know, the debate is still going as to what they actually do to corals. Some say they munch on them, other's say they simply cover it up and block the light. Either way, they can effect the corals. I don't know if they
I would try to manually remove as many as possible before starting treatment. Go down to the LFS and get the biggest gravel vac you can find, and manually suck those suckers out of there. When you can hardly find any more, then start the treatment.
Keep water on hand for changes after treatment, as well as carbon.

Yeah, at this point I would skip the QT. They will be everywhere on in the rocks and what not. It would be impossible to move anything over and not take some worms with it.

Yeah that was a goofy idea of moving them to another tank. I have been noticing some in the open plate on my scallop, meaning the red area, I will get that done first, I have a few more bux coming from paypal so that should send John his stuff and at least get the worm's out. I have a gravel vac and will get some more salt this weekend and start to syphon out the open areas of my substrate. It will be a long haul but it will be whipped in a couple month's as I dont want to cut out to much good bacteria at once so I will spread out the water changes. Thanks alot PackLeader. Check back on occasion I will post here if I have any more question's or problem's. Thank's a bunch!!

They came in on a nirite snail. I posted it in ID this a while back. he had some weird thing on his back and was posted for fun, I remember a lil thing coming out of him and pushing out lil brownish colored egg's which was also made out as I wonder what they are so instead of getting them out I let em loose. I will try and get some micro shot's of the eggs this week and post them here. But then that might be something else alltogether. Just waitng for me to get everthing else out of his way? haha please no!!!!
