    Hi everyone!

I said "hello" yesterday and picked up a used 14g Oceanic Biocube today! The tank was up and running for a year but was quite dirty and neglected so I made the decision to clean it out as best I could and start from scratch. The tank is the deluxe edition and came with two pieces of LR that are now in the process of being nuked, as well as sand, one crab (black-legged), advanced lighting (both 24 watt Coralife 10,000 K and actinic lights), bioballs and some extra filter media.

Luna, incoming pics of the set up! Enjoy everyone!

Yes, this is my first salt water tank :) I did, however, help my boyfriend with some set up and maintenance of his 40g salt water tank, and I work with fresh water fish at the University I attend. I'm not entirely sure how old the lights are but I do know that they have been replaced in the last year and I have the original lights as well. I will definately be getting corals as soon as my tank is established;D

Today I stacked some base rock and got a yellow tail damsel to cycle the tank with. He loves all the rock and my one crab (yes, that pic was a crab being acclimated in the gross water he came in is scaling the tower as I type!

Here are some more pics for ya!

Hello, welcome! I have the same tank in my den, wonderfull little all in one unit. Have fun creating a little chunk of the ocean. I will give you the heads up from my experience. No more than 2-3 small fish and water changes every 2 weeks. The smaller capacity requires a little more dilligence in water changes. Have fun! I am exited all over again for you! Here is mine;[IMG]

Welcome to 3reef. Looks like a nice little set up. I want something like that on my desk. Probably smaller though.

Saltwater tanks are SO much fun! Beware they are addicting. I used to spend my money on Shoes and Coach purses, now I find myself saving up for bio cubes and live sand....Welocme to 3reef!
