    and...

    2) I too have been researching sumps (also, a variation called a Refuguim which generally houses Macroalgae to export nitrites/nitrates). Check out the link titled "Refugiums" and I also looked through the Photo Gallery at different setups, to see the different setups for sumps and/or "fuges" to see what may apply to my 60 gallon tank.

Also, Check out the "DIY" thread here for detailed pics and descriptions of how to convert a fish tank into a sump/fuge. That is what I am doing....I am making an old 20 gal tank into a fuge.

You can do that with the tank you have now if you use an 'overflow' box without having to drill the tank.....But if I had the $$ I would buy the reef ready bigger tank too ;D ;D

This Forum has been a source of great info for me! The people here are Grrrreat! Good Luck ! Post Pictures of your new adventure! We love pics!!

CaptiveReefs will get you a great deal on the Aqua C skimmer that will fit your needs. Darin will take good care of you. Ask him about a reef ready tank, but I use an Amiracle prefilter/overflow box to run my 30 gallon sump/refugium on my 80 gallon tank.

I've got live aragonite sand and LR with a healthy fish and coral community!
