Ok, I was gonna upgrade my lights for my 125 gal and found out most likely I am going to have to get a chiller too. So, I was thinking to set up a 20 gal frag tank(to sell or trade to get some upgrading $).

    I have 2 choices:

    1) setup a 20gal Long separately

    130 PC watts
    20gal Long maintank
    20gal Long sump
    20gal fuge
    Rio+ 2100 (692GPH)-375gph at 4 ft
    seaclone 100 skimmer

    2) have the 20gal run with my 125

    130 PC watts
using the 125's sump for drain and return
    Rio+ 2100

Which way do you guys recommend?

    Thanks!

Well if you keep it separate then an accident won't wipe them both out.
On the other hand, the added water volume would provide more day to day stability. :-/ hmmmm...

On another note, I had 130w PC on my 20 long for a while. I found I could only keep acros near the top with that light and only with supplemental feeding.
What kind of frags did you want to grow?

I am starting with corals...like Xenia, star polyps, ricordea, colt...beginner corals. I don't have the knowledge for hard corals yet...soft corals for that matter. :)

    Thanks!
