I'm getting ready to upgrade from a 29 salt(1 yr old) to a 90 gallon. The 90 has been setup with freshwater for years. It's time to make a change and I need some advice on what kind of hardware I need to get. I have a wet/dry system w/ an overflow box but i do not have a sump. I know I need a skimmer but I am not familiar with bigger skimmers. Any advice would be helpful.

A good budget skimmer would be an Octopus or a ASM if you want to go all out you can go with the SWC but they are normally higher in price the first two I mentioned are also sold used for a good price a lot of the time. I have a 90 gallon as well if you check out my build thread you might get some good ideas.

something to make sure of when going to salt from fresh. make sure you clean the tank really well, just in case copper meds were used in it previously.

Use the 29 as a sump instead of the wet dry. You will have room for more water in the sump which will help with parameter stability.
