setting up a bullet 2 skimmer

    Well, I bought a used bullet 2 skimmer and supposed to recieve today. Need some help on how to set this thing up? Pump? Is it supposed to be in sump or outside of sump?

    It can be in or out of the sump, as long as the 1-1/2" outlet is above the water level.
    You need a pressure rated pump, such as a Mag 18 to run that.

    I have always had a hob skimmer so these are new to me. So if I put the skimmer beside the sump then I would need to elevate it? Then the mag 18 would be in sump and running to the skimmer outside the sump, correct?

    Yes or in the sump, however you like it. You would need a fitting to convert 3/4" pipe thread (or whatever size your pump outlet is) to 1" barbed connector. You should get two plastic hose clamps to secure the hose to barbed fittings. Do you have a pump for it, or is the skimmer coming with a pump? You should clean out the beckett injector before you set it up.
