setting up a massive 8x2x2 marine tank

    so i am guessing i need a over flow box with 3 sides, where can i get plans for internal overflows?

    I would listen to Otty on this one and if you need to go to his build thread and take a look.

    On my 72 I had and overlfow box that brought the water to my sump and while it worked and if maintained will not break syphon and overflow my tank however my new 150 has built in overflows and I feel so much safer.

    Howerver since you do not want to drill your tank I would look at the maxi jet 1200 powerheads and the sureflow upgrade for them. I run three of these on my 150 and may be adding a fourth after i get a feel for the current in my new set-up.

    I like the maxi-jet power heads because the seem to be built better than the koralia pumps. I know a lot of people liek them however i am not one of those people.

    thanks alot mate, i have taken the advise....i am buying a new 8x2x2 with a hole and overflow box built in!!!
