Well i got a rock setup that i like but the backside of the structure is really close to the back wall of the tank. I dont think this will be a problem but was wanting some opinions? I have a 14gallon biocube as well, and the rocks touch the back wall of that tank. I never scrape the back side of the biocube and it grows coraline nicely. But this pico tank has a clear back and i was thinking of painting it black or something. Also here is a pic of the rock setup i came up with and would like some feedback on all this.
    thanks;D

I like 2 the best. Just be sure to make sure that rock is secure!

yes i plan on using marine epoxy to secure it all. Thanks for taking a look irr0001. What do you think about the back wall? should i worry about scraping it or just let it be? these picos are so small its hard not to touch the side somewhere!

I would paint the back and then just let it grow what it wants to. Go ahead and paint it now though. Wouldn't take much for the fumes to screw something up with a small volume of water like that.

I've used just about every spray paint there is. Haven't had a problem with any of them. I think I have seen Krylon Fusion recommended a few times though.

Edit: Just be sure to do a few coats with whatever type you choose.

I like either 1 without the top rock, or 2 .... I wouldn't even worry about painting, it'll grow coralline eventually anyway, and the paint iis just one more thing to worry about IMO

i like the #2 formation, that will look good with the black background, like blazed said, after a while you won't see much of the backwall anyway, but i like the black anyhow,i think it inhances the other colors in the tank as well as hiding the wires and the wall behind the tank(i can't stand a tank against a wall without some kind of background and all the wires and stuff showing);D.

So i went with number two and got the rocks all epoxy 'd together. I filled the tank, put a heater in and turned on the pump! Hurray! Can you just use a chunk of frozen mysis to start the cycle?
