I am going to be moving in the near future and was wanting to setup my tank with a new sump/ref combo.

Anyone know of good combo deals? I dont want to spend over a grand on the whole thing any advice would be awsome.

I currently am only running a HOB filter and a cheap Skimmer. My tank size is a 65 gallon and I will need to also buy a overflow box. I dont want to be cheap and I want to do it the right way since I am planing on building the tank into a section of cabinets.

Will I see a cycle with adding the new equipment? what other things should I think about before buying anything?

    TIA

I would not suggest buying a sump/fuge combo. To be honest I do not know of any companies that are making any good ones. Rather either have one custom made form somebody who knows what they are doing, or make your own out of an old glass aquarium.

Overflow there are lots of good ones, but if possible I would have the back of your tank drilled and install a horizontal overflow.

You will not see any new cycle by adding a sump/fuge to your system, and if you did, the fuge would actually make it less.

This is the refugium sump that I have and it works out nice. They have 3 different sizes. I bought the biggest one the RM300 for my 120 gal and paid $430 for it. I'm sure the RM100 is half that in price. Call Barrier Reef in Boca Raton, Fl. just to get an idea on price @ 561-368-1970. Good Luck!:)
