Released this week, Sex, Drugs and Sea Slime will certainly be the must-read book for our aquatic friends this summer. Marine scientist Ellen Prager serves up a scintillating look at the oceans' most bizarre creatures with humor and great story-telling. From the hagfish that ties itself in a knot to prevent choking on its own slime to the cucumber diving pealfish, it's all there. Read the funny review in the New Yorker and then get yours now. This book is going to sell faster than a parrotfish can change sex.

You have time to read with a newborn at home?! I'm so jealous!

I wish there was a "Look Inside" option at Amazon for this book. Since there isn't, you'll have to tell us a bit about it once you get your copy Matt.

I've heard numerous interviews with the author. Every single odd case she cited besides one I had heard before (gosh I am a ocean nerd)... lobsters have piss guns in their head and when they battle another male, they shoot piss at each other (pissed off). When ready to mate, the male shoots pee into the females lair. If he didn't, she'd attack him as an invader :)

I'm sure it's fine so long as nobody takes it out of context. ;)
