    I try to keep mine at 25-26 but it's always 27, i need a refractometer, hydrometer lies to me that's why i'm so hesitant to load up w/ RO.

    I was told the same thing, hydrometers are very inaccurate, but is all I can afford for now

    I'm almost afraid to open my mouth or type my opinion anymore But I'd say 1.025 is a good average to run them at .. thats where I always ran mine at for ever Long before corals came about . In my opinion it make it easier for the fish do their osmoses thing and makes their respiration easier and more efficient . and that makes for less stress equals less health issues This is just my personal opinion and looking at them at different levels of salinity for many a yr.

    1.026 is a good target, and a glass floating hydro is accurate enough without spending the money on a refracto, the plastic floater is garbage.
