That is a lot of flow. Because the pipe is flexible, the same qualities that we use it for, is why it is shaking. The only suggestion I have is to use hose clamps on the lines.

That sounds like a "water hammer" where basically you have created a resonant frequency within the pipes... but if it just started and was working fine before that, I would be looking for something that could be impeding flow, either in the pipes or the pump...

Are the bends in your flex pvc gradual or sharp? If they are sharp or close to 90 degree bends, I would just consider using normal PVC. The only advantage you get from flex pvc is by using long, gradual bends.

could the impeller have something wedged in ti causing an imbalance causing the vibration?

never seen water hammer in an aquarium setup. I have flex pipe on my closed loop with a dart on it and it never moves and the pump is wide open. what happenes if you open the valve a bit?

on your 4 way, is it the type that switches the outputs to 1 or two of the 4? or just a 1.5" pipe that is then split to 4 outlets? I run 1.5" all the way from my dart up to a T then to 1" thru the tank on each end.

i also never got this problem before with valve open wide, when i open it little more it shakes pipe more.
i checked impeller and it looks clean.
4-way with ver3 so i got 2 open all time(front than back returns)1.5" to 4-way than split after to 1"returns.
will post pic and link to video

i dont think Seano its too much flow,i changed impeller for snapper(2500gph) and its still shaking pipe(valve not even full open)it wasnt like this before.i tried to avoid as many 90 elbows as i can.i got 3x90 and 5x45 on all plumbing for closed loop.
    could be snail in pipe?

Kurens, that is the strangest thing I have ever seen..... somehow that pipe is getting some sort of vibration. does it only do it when the OM is pushing water thru it? if so, I would yank that out and go over it and look for any blockages or anomolees. also, how does the flow from this pipe compare to the others at the outlet?

    thanks man for response:)
flow on surface looks the same from both front returns.
you know whats most funny? this pipe shaking when water going from other(back) return.
i think i will take everything down to check it:(

yea, I would take it apart and clean it well. you must have something in that OM causing the issue.. those Darts are incredibly smooth. I have one for my CL and use a Barracuda for the sump return. I would love to have a 4 way like yours but my tank was only drilled for two returns back from the loop.
