Consumer reports did an interesting write up on this product. They noticed that the claim was that it could "hold 100x its weight in water" in the beginning, and this number diminished to 10x (if I recall correctly) over a year in their advertisements, while it was the same product.

The pitchman, Vince Offer is a real class act. Here he is all dappered up.

He had a great mugshot after he was arrested for aggravated assault on a Miami prostitute.

I guess the prostitute must have seen his commercial and said something smart to him like, "at this price, we can't do it all day, you know. . . . "

I dont trust any of those people who sell any of those "products" on the tv. They paint a pretty picture, but it usually doesnt work as pretty as they paint it in real life.

I've never had one or even touched one. I trust about 1% of the products that are shown on TV, and even then I still don't buy them. If it's really that important I'm sure it will pop up in a store somewhere where I don't have to buy everything for $19.95

Just go to your local auto parts store and get a nice Chamois. I have one that I purchased 15+ years ago to use when washing the cars. After 15 years it's still as absorbent as the day I got it and its holding up great with no signs of ware. You can pick one up for around $20 that's the same price as the Scam WOW
