i could go on for hours why you should get a sixline.?
1)imho one of the most beautiful reef fish available. (you can not even imagine its colors until you own one and really get to look at it)

2)it eats the pest previously explained

    3) it also will eat flake and anything else i put in my tank.

4)really gives your tank the feel of a "reef" the way he/she speeds threw all the lil nooks and crannys at mach 3..

    5) can hold its own against aggressive fish but, in most case is peaceful with the most non-aggressive fish, mandarins, gobys ect...

cons the only problem i found was adding a new fish. there is a period were they will def let the new fish know who is boss. ( but this is the case with most fish)

I guess this is a common thing. My last fish is going to be a Coral Beauty in the next month...should be an intersting fight for the kingship. Our 6 line is named "Mr. Zippy" just because of how he zips through the rocks. They will find every hole, plus some you didn't know existed, in their first day of being in your tank. I'm surprised ours can even fith through some of the holes he goes through.

Awesome! I was just at the LFS's. None of them have sixlines.. supposedly one of the stores is getting two tomato. Can't wait. I almost bought another Blennie. He was chillin in an empty tubo shell. Very comical.. I have to get one when I get a bigger tank.. damm.. This sixline will max out my tank.. 3 fish in a 16. I have to get rid of these flatworms!

    Aqualung,
I'd spend your $ on a turkey baster and a bottle of "flatworm eXit" before spending it on more fish at this point. The idea is to completely wipe-out your flatworm infestation. They are not a food source like pods where you can buy a fish to eat them and they reproduce and more get eaten and everyone is happy. Even if a YT or 6line may eat them, it's doubtful they'll find and eat all of them. Kill 'em all now. You'll be glad you did. Next time a close inspection and FW dip of your coral will prevent flatworms from entering your tank. Best of Luck.

Yeah I've been using a turkey baster and siphoning them out. Would just like a little extra help that's all. I prefer not to use the chemical method.. if all else fails, then maybe. I have considered Flatworm exit. With my skimming, basting, siphoning, and possibly the sixline, if I'm hoping the natural method will work.

I have a pair of both in an 85 gallon, introduced the YT first and about a month later the Six Line pair. There was a little territorial squabbling at first but the Six Line are better bluffers and eventually all is well. If I were to chose one it would definitely be the Six Line just from its amazing movements through the rock and in the currents. Thus far our tank is void of any flatworms etc.

I had some of the clear/white flatworms and when I put my sixline in that tank I checked the next day for them and couldn't find any. Haven't seen any since. Keep in mind they also devour pods though!
