    I want to share my experience. See my signature for tank stats. I recently bought a Via Aqua Skimmer/ Filter combo. ViaAqua Multi-Skimmer

    The filter is avg, perhaps less than. I NEED to say that for the price and its skimming abilities, it is truly amazing. My paramaters have (almost) always been spot on with chrystal clear water. With that being said, this skimmer pulls out more gunk than any Ive owned, or seen for that matter. It has a 5watt uvs (the ballast can accomodate a 9watt), and 2 chambers. I use one for extra media and one for the heater.

    It rates at 80 gallons ...I dont think it would handle that. But for my 36g, its truly awesome. If you need to be economical, but need an above avg skimmer, this is the one. Keep in mind that the filter is avg, and running extra carbon/ media is preferable.
