    Perhaps a Smoothhound? Which is a coldwater shark, so incompatible with warmer water fish.
    I meant rays and angels.

    Hmmm, haven't been down there in a while, you may be right. Perhaps I misread catch limit as protected. Seems like you do a lot of inshore?

    +1 rays and sharks are kept together all the time. Seen plenty of them.

    grey reef sharks get 6 feet so i have no idea what your talking about!

    ya when i went to florida they were being caught everywhere, they were in tanks in resaraunts. they had them in bottles to buy as souvenirs. i know theyre not protected.

    Yessirr. Inshore andd off. I live on the beach on Galveston Island.. Its about an hour south of Houston.

    yes grey smoothhound. which also is kept with black tips. it is a temperate water fish but as long as the tank is between 72-74 all fish should fair well.

    In the ocean, yes. Not in tanks.

    You're right, it will die before it reaches that size.

    this is what i was saying. somebody said black tips reach 7 feet and i was like maybe in the ocean haha. no way in a tank that would scare the crap out of me.

    They live in 60 degree water, so they are ideally suited for a species tank, not a reef. I think you should just stick with 3 blacktips and thats it.
