    possible the shark tried to eat the lionfish....now he is paying the price. typically sharks shouldnt be kept with scorpions. It could also be a water quality issue of some sort but if you dont take the time to list your readings than how much help do you expect to receive?

    yah i'm sure that's it. my baby shark (wanna say under 4mos) tried to take on my 8in beastin lionfish.... (um no?)

    and the reason i didn't list my perams is because if i say it's ok, i shouldn't have to spell out what I think ok is and then have 20 people describe how they test their water and try and make me look like an idiot. all the time, my question still remains unanswered
    *sigh*
    btw. ph 8.4, amm 0, nitrites 0, nitrates 20, sg 1.023, temp 80 ::)

    wow, great way to answer a post that someone is trying to help you with................................ your nitrates are pretty high most likely due to the bioload, do you run a skimmer and what are you feedings like?

    yah we run a skimmer for tanks up to 200g. feed 2-3x a week, have a decent cleanup crew, big sand sifting star, and 175 lbs of LR...

    and... this is a FOWLR tank, nitrates are ok up to 40....
