I've been sitting here looking at my tank wondering what the little white things are that are in there floating around what what that white skim is on top. I just figured it out... I TOLD HIM NOT TO SAND IN HERE TO USE A SPONGE! What will sheet rock dust do to a tank?

for the most part its chaulk, did you pH raise. there are other chemicals in the joint compound but with a light dusting i wouldnt worry about it.

    Hi Ms Linda,

Sounds like your tank needs some kind of surface skimming.

Using a airstone for short time may help it.

If me, I would put filter bags on all outflows from tanks until particles cleared out. :-/

    Good Luck!

if your that worried about it, instead of moving rock take a powerhead and use it to stir the water behind and on the rock get the particles in the water column, then do a water change. the rest should fall into a filter pad or sock. no worries
