shimmering off only actinic leds?

Hey guys I have t5 bulbs and I love thay some of the led has a shimmering affect so I was wondering if I buy the reefbriteleds only in actinic will I get the shimmering affect I already have a good amount of wavemakers... or do I have to get the daytime bulbs to get. It. I'm buying it because I need supplimental lights. Thanks in advance guys

 

Hi - my night time LED's shimmer very nicely - but I do not get a shimmer running just my actinics, once my MH's kick on the shimmer is incredible

My lunar LED's give off an amazing shimmer as well, but my actinics do not.

 

So would you guys suggest all white lights orbjust mixer?

 

The leds have a lot of shimmer, however the T-5s will probably kill most, if not all of it.
I had 2x250W 20000K XM metal halides on a 55g, with 1 blue and 1 white standard fluorescent lights to extend the photo period. the shimmer of the MH was incredible, but not at all noticeable if the 2 little fluorescent lights are one. The problem is the MHs were very blue (as are blue leds) and the human eye isn't very sensitive to blue. So, that 1 white fluorescent white bulb was enough to overwhelm the shimmer of 2x250W MHs

If you went the other way, and had white leds, with blue T-5s, it would work better.

 

Thanks just the info I was looking for. Ill get daytime led and run my actinic on t5 any suggestions what led supplisment I s good I need a clearance of 2x2x24 reefbrite has the thinnest lights I could find
