I shipped a coral Express USPS for noon delivery today with a Waiver of Signature and online it says that at 2 separate times a notice was left. I called them and they say that the driver has to feel that the location is safe to leave the package. That's why I put a Waiver of Signature so I take responsibility. Hope the buyer goes to the PO today and gets it. I sent him a PM telling him to go to the PO

And don't ship anything fragile with them either,I've had alot of stuff get here broke and the boxes looked like they played football with them even though the boxes had "fragile" all over it.

FWIW most people that I've seen ship coral say that the buyer is responsible for any loss if they are not there to pick up at the first delivery attempt. Of course they have to know when it's being shipped so they can be there. Hope it works out for you, doesn't sound like it's USPS' problem though honestly.

But how is it my problem if I put a Waiver of Signature so the driver can drop it off but only if the driver feels safe doing so. I dont know where this guy lives? I have done everything I can do so I will wait and see

This is why I no longer use USPS for anything. They maybe have a 50% success rate even with a simple letter around here.
Spend the extra cash and go Fed-Ex or UPS. It's well worth it.

I don't know if Fed Ex would have just dropped off the package either. But I do know USPS will just cover their ass

No way at all is this the sellers fault. The buyer should have been home or had some one to get it or should have picked a day when they where able to recieve. The seller did his part this is all on the buyer at this point IMEO

doesnt matter take the money out of your account and they wont be able to get it, sometimes pay pal is stupid and unfair, you where 100% in the right in this situaiton, i would never place an order and then not have some one there to get it or be there my self thats just foolish
