shipping times; how long b4 your upset?

Simple question, not including livestock shipping:

What do you consider as a slow shipping and handling speed for a company or eBay purchase?


Would you start to get upset at 5 days? 7? 10? 14? I understand different shipping zones so nobody has to go into that, but at what day does your patience run out?

please let me know if your referring to business days or total days including weekends

Honestly, I just want to know if my expectations for shipping are too high or if everyone's patience runs out about the same times mine does, which is about 7 business days or 10 total days from time of purchase.

 

My patience runs out on the 4 day. UPS, FEDEX, USPS. I EXPECT my packages to be here by the 3rd or 4th day, regardless of where it is.

 

For regular items I buy, I let about 5 business days or 7 total days before I get bothered. First class is estimated at 3-5 business days for USPS.

Ups has much more reliable tracking info so I tend to not get as easily irritated as long as the seller has it in the mail by the second day

 

7 days is my max. After that I think it is getting ridiculous.

 

Well, for me, I think UPS is sooo slow. I live on the west coast and packages are always 5 days via UPS. Drives me crazy. I order things from aquacave based out of IL and I request USPS who delivers in two days. Love the post office priority mail!

I placed an order from Big Al's on new years eve, isn't expected to be delivered until 1/10. =( UPS never delivers earlier than they say they will.

 

I placed an order for something on 12/29 from one of our sponsers and have yet to receive a delivery confirmation email. They said I will receive one when the item has shipped. So that means it hasn't even shipped yet, which is starting to drive me crazy. Hence, the start of this thread.

It's been 7 days and the thing hasn't even shipped yet. Hopefully they just forgot to send the confirmation email.

 

I would be contacting them in that case unless they state there is a lag time of X between order date and shipping date. They also may have been closed during that period and are trying to catch up.

 

You should be contacting them, I dont think there is really much of an excuse for the 7 day lay over, it should have at least gone out on monday
