    Hi All,

Are there any small-medium sized shoaling fish for the home aquarium, besides anthias and chromis? I would really like a school of fish, but I'm not sure about chromis since they seem to be hard to keep alive, and I'm not sure about anthias either....

    Thank you!! :)

Anthias are much harder than chromis because they are more picky about their food and come from less lighted areas. Chromis aren't bad if you get high quality stock. Just make sure you feed them when they acclimate to your tank. And feed them more often in small portions. They do well in established tanks like mandarins but are much less picky about food.

I know anthias are more difficult, that's why I'm thinkin about just having one and not wanting a harem. I'm definitely having one though, because they are my favorite fish!! I really like chromis, just worried about them dying off.
