    so ya thinking about chromis now? i started with 5 in my tank with in 3 days all but 1 were dead, but my last one is fairly active and schools with the clowns and is near them all the time

    I have no idea! Chromis are the only fish I could really buy quite a few of....but then again if they all die....lol

    I'm going to the LFS today, and I'll talk to the owner about shoaling fish.

    even though most of my chromis died i still like them, i like teh their blue coloring

    ABout 75% of purchased chromies die. WHen you buy yours expect most to die. Plan ahead lol.

    haha yeah. I actually found these today which I think are really cool. I might get some in the future. They are hardy and stay small.

    Nevermind, they are already sold!! They were at Diver's Den. Booo! I wonder who bought them....

    I lost track of this thread and whether you decided or not but SOME cardinals in the Apogon genus are shoaling fish that stay small.

    Some are quite pretty I think. They can be difficult shippers though if the people handling them don't know what they're doing according to what I've read.

    The trick is finding a group of them available, they aren't super common. Diver's Den sometimes gets groups of them in though and I believe they are well versed in how to handle them so I would trust getting them from there.

    I do think those are quite pretty. I'm not sold on cardinals though...maybe if my LFS had some, but I'm not sure I want to ship them.
