shocking!

I recently bought a qt, i placed the filter media in my main tanks internal filtration to develop bacteria. I was taking it out today an dthe blue sponge was giving me a mild shock - like a static one. Naturally i was a bit worried as i thought maybe the power head was malfunctioning (fish were fine tho) - so i put my hand in afterwards and nothing! just seemed to get it when removing the blue sponge in the filter.

Anyone ever wxperienced this?

 

Do you have a grounding probe?

 

might be loose volage.might want to get a groud probe just in case.then next thing you know your fish are belly up.

 

I'd get a grounding probe like luna said. A little jolt to you, can mean a big JOLT to your fish....

 

Get a GFCI as well!
