I run 48" T5 bulbs on my main display, I currently run LED PAR30 bulbs on my fuge but I'm planning to put some frags in there and would like to replace the LEDs with T5s. Anyone know what are the shortest ATI T5 bulbs on the market?

    EDIT: 48" T5 bulbs, not 4"

4" bulbs? I think you mean 48 or 24? lol.

The shortest I know of that AT makes ia a 24" bulb. What's wrong with the par30? As long as it is the right color temp, corals just to just fine under it.

I agree.. Everything is measured in inches.
24" is the smallest standard T5 I have seen so far (bulb is 22" in actual size). What do you plan on having for frags? I have 2 BoostLED PAR30 in my frag tank & my Zoas grow like weeds..

There are some odd sizes like this Coralife Mini Aqualight T5 Dual Lamp Fixture that used 9" T5 bulbs.. http://www.fosterandsmithaquatics.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=22548&cmpid=03csegb&ref=3312&subref=AA&CAWELAID=743635635

I've seen 18", but I think anything much lower is impossible.

Yes, occasionally you will see bulbs that fit over a 10g, but I don' think ATI makes any that short.

I haven't seen any brand shorter than 18"

UVL and Coralife make 18" bulbs. ATI makes 24" as their smallest.

Thanks guys. yeah, typo, I meant 48", not 4". I currently have BoostLED PAR30 bulbs on my frag tank but almost all of my SPS turn brown under them over time, my zoas and LPS seem to do OK. All softies seem to do OK too but when compared with same size frags I have under ATI T5's, there was a hugh difference in growth....all tanks were hooked to a common sump so all parms were the same, all frags started out approximately the same size. I still think the BoostLED PAR30 bulbs are OK, I also experienced similar results with a CREE XRE LED setup, so for now T5's are still my preference for my setup.
