Sweet! Zippy will be much happier now with someone to pal around with. Congrats on your new addition.

How old are they? Try feeding them Lots and Lots. They will not breed unless you feed them quite a bit and often.

so, if they breed and have babies, you have to get another tank to raise the babies in, right?

If you have other fish in the tank you won't ever get that far. I sat and watched my goby eat mouthful after mouthful of eggs as my female was laying them. The male drove himself nuts trying to defend against the goby, tang and 2 shrimp. Poor dude guarded an empty nest for 2 or 3 days after that.

I'm very sad to say that the new clown fish didn't make it. :( :(

It was looking ok for the first couple days, as you can tell in the pictures... I think that the immediate pairing may have stressed it a little... it was near the top of the tank most of the day yesterday, and I found it sticking to a powerhead by night time... I'm very sad, but Zippy will get another friend.

I'm hoping so... my tank is over a year old and very well established with all parameters in check... no reason other than the fish being ill/ stressed that it should have died.

I hope that the next one will do ok!
