Ok well i have had this leather coral for at least a year now and have never had a problem but it just started growing about a nickel size hole right in the middle with a little algae in it and i was just wondering if it is anything i should be worried about.

    thanks

Could be the start of a disease. I would hate to cut it when it otherwise looks so healthy but I would use a scalpel and cut away the algae and into the good flesh. It will recuperate.

Yes, just cut a little bit into the good flesh.
