My tank has been extremely stable since my last two deaths nearly 6 months ago (One fish jumped out and my fire shrimp I believe was killed by my CBS) so I'm wondering if I have waited to long too add livestock. Would the addition of a new fish now disrupt the social balance of my tank? If not then what fish would be good suggestions to compliment my current residents? Off the top I have been looking at the Flameback Angel since my last fish was a pygmy Angel. Any experience with these and their reef compatibility (I have two clams and countless SPS\LPS)?

I would think it would be ok to add a new fish.

yea i mean its been six months, and everything is stable. a flameback can be a little aggressive but this fish needs temperatures around 73.5 to 76. how big is your tank(s)?
    pics and karma plz:)

I think any of the angels are 50/50 regarding corals and clams. As far as upsetting the balance of your tank, I think you would be ok. You might see some aggression from the tangs but not anymore than normal.

Personally, I have an affinity for triggers and wrasses. Love their personalities and currently have a pink tail trigger that does not bother my corals or clams....inverts however are another story. They are supposed to be one of the most invert/reef safe, but I got one that likes to eat snails and the occasional cleaner shrimp. My leopard wrasse is one of my favorite fish and would highly recommend a wrasse of some type. There are quite a few reef safe wrasses.

I once had a six-line that pestered my Hippo so I caught it and traded him in. Ever since I have been wary of wrasses but Ill look into them again. Any other ideas?
