First of all of those fish can end up as dinner in a few months, unless you keep him in the fuge. Make sure whatever tank he is kept has a tight fitting lid. Feed him a varied diet, (not just silversides) and teach him to hand/stick feed early.

I loved my snowflake as did my wife, he had his own 55g too, and we just recently got a new eel last week. I sat go for it they are very cool!

Just a FYI...SFE's tend to get aggressive once they reach about 18" - 20", and it WILL go after tankmates at that point. Mine even managed to bite me...twice!

agreed, although mine hasn't bitten me (yet) he is still getting aggressive and I would say he is nearing the 16"-18" range. I'm considering giving him to my lfs to sell as he will not let me add anymore tankmates.

The small ones will do fine in the 29 cube for about a month, after that he will need to be moved to a bigger tank as they grow fast if fed properly, as an example I got mine in March of 2012 and was about 8" long and the size of a pencil, now he's doubled in size with even a bigger appetite lol

the other thing you want to consider is that they are messy eaters they like to tear apart there food and it makes quite a mess so expect your nutrient level to increase.
