they can get aggressive. I would get a small goby or blenny.

most blennies require 30+ gallons, and i already have a "goby" (firefish) and as nice as my mantis is, i think he would have a problem with a sand dweller.

How much rock do you have? I think you would be ok and they would get along. A neat idea is to get some rubble and make a rubble pile for the firefish to take refuge should you pick up a mean damsel.the mantis may take them and use them for building materials lol but either way works.and I think those 2 would do fine

barnacle blennies hide in the rock, we all know how thats gonna end.

The firefish already has his certain "spot". I'll try the rubble idea, though i think the mantis might like it better :p lol

I'm gunna have to agree with you somereefer.. I wouldn't test your mantis. I'd stay away from any goby or blenny. Having something digging around in your sand is just asking the mantis to destroy it lol. Maybe you could get a purple firefish to go with your red one? They shouldn't fight. Or how about a royal gramma or something..

Haha I'm glad I could jog your memory. Check out liveaquaria, and just browse around they're fish. That's really how I narrowed down my fish list.
