at the lps yesterday, which has a very small and pricey selection of saltwater livestock,I seen a beautiful blue trigger fish, they called it a niger trigger, but now i can't get him out of my mind(i want that fish!!)I have a heavily populated 29 gal mixed reef(mostly softies)a few inverts and 6 small common fish(pair of clowns,a couple damsels etc)so i know something will have to go to make room for him,but what are there temperments??and do they have any special needs???are they good in a community tank?

That fish will need a nice big tank. I'd say a 75 gal would be too small for him.
6 fish for your 29 is too much IMO.

From what I've read they are not reef safe and a minium tank size of 70 gal is recommended

Rats!! I figured that(the trigger) But on the fish in there now i have a pair of perc clowns,3 striped damsel, yellowtail damsel,a chromie and a firefish.I have about 45lbs of liverock and a skimmer, all my corals are soft easy stuff, gsp, kenya tree, anthelia, several types of polyps(zoas and palys)and my water test great at nearly 0 to 10 ppm nitrates, and this reef has been going for over 7 months now with this stock and have had no problems other than phosphates are a little high, and i'm getting some algea(i bought some phos remover last night i'm going to ad today.)But yes i want to get my bio load down abit(and make room for a less common species)Thanks for your input Swagger

Look at the Pinktail trigger. I have one in my reef tank and he doesnt bother anything. I think they are a beautiful fish IMO. Your 29 is still to small but heres a link with some info on them.

I had a small baby in my 38 gallon for about 2 months and he was very active. Only problem was he bit my clowns tail so he was gone that day.
