So, I use to have a skunk cleaner shrimp but he didn't work out because as he got bigger he actually ended up trying to attack my fish. So, I traded him to a friend with other cleaners. I love shrimp though, and I was actually thinking of possibly getting 3 sexy shrimp but I hear good things and then I hear bad things? I heard that they can sometimes eat certain corals but then I hear they are reef safe, so I'm a little confused? Do you think I should get some? The corals in my tank are listed in my signature. Would 3 sexy shrimp work well in my tank you think?

You've encountered the problem with skunk cleaners...they become "insistent" and stress out their tankmates.

Sexy shrimp are pretty small, and they will usually just hang out in a 'nem if one is available. I prefer true peppermint shrimp (Lysamata wurdemanni). They won't bug your fish, and will eat appies to boot, altho they can be a bit more cryptic than some shrimp.

I'd say go for it. They are really cool, I've actually thought about getting 3 myself but will probably get a skunk cleaner.

See that's what I like though. To see them just hang out in the open on a coral or something. That's why i really like my yellow clown goby lol. I just wanna make sure there isn't any problem with them eating any of my coral or anything?

*Oh and LOVE the Gears of War COG symbol as your picture and your name! lol :p I'm probably the only chick here that plays the gears games LOL... I was VERY pissed when Dom died in the last one though :'( *

I've had sexy shrimp and they do well with most fish. I would not get them if you have any wrasses especially 6 lines.

I've got 2 Sexy's at the moment. Love them! At night they sleep in the maxi minis but during the day they're all over the place.
I've read that they will feed off of zoas ( i dont think they actually eat the zoa) and I do see them hang on my zoas at times. But I'm not seeing any ill effects on the zoas as of yet.
I also read that by offering them small meaty foods and pellets they're less likely to bother corals. Which is what I do :) and they don't bother my corals at all. [IMG]
