Should I ship my old equipment to the US?

You might want to sell it depending what the prices are here compared to what you paid for? You mentioned that you're thinking of upgrading so you're in a way making a sort of decision on certain items.

Another thing you might want to factor is it worth the price of shipping? Shipping might be expensive?

 

You are absolutely right. Stupid me forgot this "little" detail.
So, to sum it up:
After reading everyone's comment and giving it more thought, I shall sell it and start with a clean slate. That way I don't make any compromises on the equipment. I already saved almost $6k and I think that should cover just about everything.
I just love this hobby and even though outsiders don't understand how anyone can spend that kind of money on - as I heard before - stupid fish, I am willing to wait and save more to get my dream tank with the best equipment available.

Lol!!! Very true! As you know though, when it comes to spending $$$ spent on tank, equipment, live stock, energy etc etc. we come up with any feasible justification.
For the price of my new stuff, I could buy a small used car lol.
I can only hope that I will be able to sell my equipment in Spain for a good price.

But seriously, I'd rather spend a bit more and get the equipment I always wanted than shipping the old stuff.

However I will still get an approximate shipping quote. I'll update when I receive it.
