I am looking to get some Xenia for my 55, but I want to be prepared before I do. I have searched both here and the interwebs, but could not find any concrete info. Some people say the dip everything, some say they never dip softies. Most of the info I found was on people dipping after the coral was starting to melt, but not upon purchase.

Also, I assume if you did dip Xenia, it would be in an iodine solution and not FW, but please correct me if I am wrong!

And yes, I know it can grow like weeds, but this will be a soft-dominant tank so it is fine with me if it likes to grow :)

i dip everything in CoralRX solution. Its like 4 capfulls in a gallon of your tank water with an airstone for 1-15 mins.

Deff dip, will kill off bad stuff. I wouldn't recommend FW dip.

Thanks for the input! I have seen a number of others do the same as well (using CoralRX).

    Anyone else have any thoughts?

I dipped some pulsing xenia in Coral RX two days ago and it's doing fine now. Not as tall as it was at the store but it's working on it. All hands are open and most of them are pulsing.

Thanks for the input! I went to my LFS, but they did not sell it unfortunately. Buying some online tonight though.
