shouldnt this be the other way around?

    so i moved tanks adn my softies arent looking great. kenya tree hasnt opened and is desentigrating, finger leather isnt open, GSP isnt open. but my lta is partially open and looks fine:confused:. so my question is, isnt this supposed to be the other way around? im waiting another day to add LPS and montis.

    sounds like you kicked up a cycle. Did you use the same sand?

    So you have a kenya tree that is disintegrating, a GSP that remains closed, and a finger leather that looks bad, right? I understand you say an anemone is open for now--but I have to ask--why would you consider putting more corals in this tank at this time?

    I'd definitely check ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate. If they're all ok, I'd just keep an eye on the livestock. Soft corals are known for closing and developing a layer of protective slime when they've been disturbed. May take up to two weeks for them to shed and then open again.

    the tanks been setup for 4 months. ammo, trite, trate all zero. the water is 2 degrees cooler so i think that may be it, and a different salt brand.

    I wouldn't think 2 degrees would have so much impact. How about your sg and ph?

    sg is way off.

    i only acclimated the nem not the corals.

    55-1.028
    30-1.015

    i bet thats the reason....

    No doubt. You need to get that SG up. 1.015 is brackish, not saltwater. You don't even go that low for Osmotic Shock Treatment, which is only recommended for fish diseases and highly detrimental to corals and inverts.
