I am not sure what the dimensions are on your tank, but I also have a 150 with a corner overflow. My aquascape started as "a pile of rocks"

But after a little work (and some great help) it looks more like I wanted it to.

Corals do fill in some things, but you can still get the look you want without it. I agree that using the larger rocks, spaced apart some can create some great caves. Then just use other pieces and find the "pivot point" where they can stack and still be stable. Use other pieces to help balance if you need to. Good luck!

thats a very good looking tank.
    mine is a standard 150G.
I do the big rocks at the bottom and all, the only thing is that i cant do the dept thing becaus the overflows only let me place 1 big rock in front otherwise it will touch the front glass.
like for example, i wanted my mountain to look more round? but cant really do much about it.
i was thinking to make a mountain in the middle section of the tank where i have most of my space. and 2 little ones on the side?
how do you think that would look?
the main thing im trying to do is keeping the swiming room since i have some large fish. and at the same time making caves and such.. lol im asking for a lot..

I think you have a good idea with the mountain in the middle. Then just do a couple odd shaped piles on either side. IMO, that would look pretty cool.

Thank you! For the first time I am fairly content with the way it is set up now.

Yeah, mine is the 150 tall so I think I have 24" deep instead of the standard 18".

I think the "mountain" in the middle would work very well. Maybe instead of 2 little ones on either side, just do 1 on one side at about 1/2 the height of the middle one. Then on the other side, just place some rocks around on the bottom or get a big tonga branch like the one I used for my "bridge" and set it there/lean it up against the big one in the middle.

One thing that I think sets apart good aquascaping is that it is not symetrical. We try to make things look the same and the best aquascapes that I have seen are more random looking.
