    Yes ours do look similar Patrick! Don't worry the coralline will form in time. What lighting do you use? I just upgraded to MH this year and wish I would have just done them from the beginning, next time I get bulbs for my T5 im gonna try an actinic+ and fiji purple combo, but that will be closer to Xmas

    I planned on getting rods and drilling my rock but eventually the rocks fit together nicely and I just used a little epoxy to hold them in place. I will say that the epoxy is not permanent for those who fear it is it just takes a little muscle to break it once its cured. I would also like to add my .02 and say that im against stacking the rock directly on the bottom glass because IMO this limits flow through the SB and could create harmful dead zones. To overcome this I simply cut 3" PVC in 2" segments (or whatever depth you want your SB to be) then drilled three 1.5" holes in a triangular pattern through the sides of the PVC. I then placed these on the glass bottom filled with sand to cover them and stacked my rock on these "feet"

    I'm going to use light diffuser on the bottom and start with the larger rocks there. I just got my shipping confrmation from Marco rocks so I'll be posting as soon as I get started.

    i have 4x54w T5 and used dry Marco Rocks
