It's working for me. I had 3 blennies jump so I did this. No jumpers since.

But I know a few people on here have had fish jump through the holes... the odds are in my favor now though, so I don't worry about that too much.

 

Here is my top, or lack thereof. I am kinda hoping my CB will jump out. Then I won't have to go tank diving for it. Is that wrong??????



And No the fans aren't plugged in......yet.;D

 

I have a crispy diamond goby that says you're wrong...

Got him on Saturday, cut a new egg crate top, found him on the floor the next morning. He was pretty large; I got the largest one the LFS had because he looked too big to fit through EC.

He must of hit it just right. It's full coverage, no holes even over the overflow for equipment.

...gonna be a minute before I try gobies again. I am thinking about building a forced air acrylic cover.

 

99% of the jumpers are b/c they're being bullied/chased by other fish. Once your at the point that your not getting any more fish and they "stablize", its rare that you will still have any jumpers. My current tank has had 12 fish for about 3-4 yrs and no one has jumped yet.
