    So I am currently working on my 150 gallon stand and almost to the part where I need to get some molding and stuff to put around the edges....I think it would be helpful is everyone can post some pics of there stand so I can see what styles you guys went for!! Thanks guy;D

    I would love to see some too, I currently have a 150 cichlid tank and I really don't like the stand and would love to make a new one. come on folks, send in those pictures and help the rest of us that really don't an imagination so we can copy your style... LOL

    Here's ours:

    The top trim is a oak waynes coating topper trim. We used 1/4" oak plywood to skin the stand, and the topper fit perfectly onto that 1/4" lip. The bottom is some plain oak base trim. Found both at Menard's for a decent price.

    This stand is for a 90 gallon so a bit smaller in scale. Its all 1/2" oak cabinet grade plywood. I cut all the moldings except the 1/4" trim molding that goes around the top, on my table saw. I originally had stained it with an all in one minwax, but I would highly recommend not using it if doing anything bigger than a breadbox :p. I ended up not happy with it and put a super high gloss paint on it.

    Here's mine! I did mine in a fashion to use the seperate fuge tank as a secondary display. Also, ALL of the external paneling is removable, and I can strip the stand down to the bare frame in less than a minute, which makes it very easy come maintenance time on the sump and fuge.
