    I do clean my mce600 at times,but never before the skimmer neck is sealed, used to take 4 months in old tank, haven't happened yet in my office aquarium, 3 month running.

    Yes, drilled a 2 inch hole in the skimmer cup to get the dirt water out of the cup and into a salt bucket ;)

    well I have a cheep odyssea skimmer I got of of e-bay for a total of $30.00, I have a total of about 22 gallons total but it works well.
